Research and Study Conducted by KN
From the very beginning Karmojibi Nari conducts different research and studies mainly on the workers especially women workers engaged in formal and informal sectors to understand to status of their working environment as well as the challenges they are facing in their workplace and also in daily life. With is findings KN try to strategies the future advocacy as well as program strategies for the betterments of the worker.
Research (Formal Sector): For formal sector the research are namely:
1. Conducting Research on ‘Digital Platform Workers in Asia: Bangladesh Context’ funded by People’s Courage International (PCI) from 20 January 2025 to 20 January 2026.
2. Conducting Study for ‘Dynamic mapping of Informal Sector Workers in Bangladesh: Challenges, Opportunities, and Policy Implications’ funded by Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) between August to November, 2024.
3. Conducted Study on the ‘Current working situation of women Home-Based industrial workers in Bangladesh’; funded by Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) between June to October, 2023.
4. Conducted Research project on Worker’s Mental Wellbeing in the garment sector; November 1, 2022, through 30th July 2023; funded by Stitching Women Win’s (WW).
5. Conducted Study on the Status of Minimum Wage Declaration for the Sea Food Procession (SPI) Worker and the Status of Freedom of Association (FoA) and Right to Organize of the Worker of SPI in Bangladesh; November 2022 – January 2023; funded by Christian Aid.
6. Conducted Research on the Value Chain Analysis of Seafood Processing Industry; December 2021; funded by DGB BW.
7. Conducted Feminist Participatory Action Research on “Women’s labour rights in the Special Economic Zones”; 2021 to 2022; funded by Asia Pacific Forum on Women, Law and Development (APWLD).
